Every Vitamix Deluxe 5200 is purchased from Vita-Mix Corporation and is shipped directly to you – brand new, with a no-risk guarantee.  If at any point during the first 30 days of ownership you decide it isn’t the machine for you, simply return it for a full refund.  Vita-Mix will even cover the return shipping.

Questions? Comments? Let’s talk about it here!
  1. I am interested in buying the Vitamix Deluxe 5200 package, but would like to wait until the updates related to the black speck issue have been released. Do you know if that has happened yet and/or when it is projected to happen? Thanks!!!

    • bd

Drew, as of August 11, 2015, all new Vitamix C-Series and G-Series models will be shipped with containers made with a new seal which addresses the black speck issue caused by the previous one.

  2. Hiii, i would like tobuy this vitamix blender 5200 deluxe set from you. But, how can i buy it? Can you send me the link to directly buy it online? Bytheway, when will the promo end? The free shipping and the free gift? Thanks. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Victoria, there is a green “Buy Now” button directly above this Comments section that will direct you to checkout at This is how you complete all orders via this site. When using this link the code for free shipping will automatically populate for you and the discount will automatically apply. Then, once your order is complete, simply forward to me your “Order Receipt” from Vitamix. This will be emailed to you immediately upon the completion of your purchase. Indicate to me which bonus gifts you would like and they’ll be on their way. My free shipping and bonus gift offers never expire!

  3. Lost my long-time 5200 in a rollover motorhome accident so I have to order another. Was able to salvage the 64oz. container (not sure if it still works though). The small wet container blades – are they different than the small dry container blades? Trying to make banana ice cream w/2 bananas was tough to do in the 64oz container, so therefore my interest. But I also don’t want any more containers than I really need as I have a tiny kitchen. I will use the small dry for rice flour, etc. but the 64oz worked well for this. Nut butters were unsuccessful in the 64oz.
Would like to order through you, but I want the red VitaMix.
    Thank you.

Suzanne, the Dry Grains blades are different from the standard blades. They are designed to both pulverize grains and create a slightly different circulation pattern which lends itself to more efficient grinding. That said, the standard blades also do an adequate job of grinding as you discovered. For people who only grind occasionally I always recommend using the standard container as opposed to investing unnecessarily in a Dry Grains container. You can always purchase the Dry Grains down the road if you find you really are grinding flours on a regular basis.

Banana ice cream should really be little problem with the standard blades and 64-ounce container assuming you are using the tamper as well. The Dry Grains container would not do a better job on this if you were curious. The 64-ounce should also be perfectly fine for nut butters and is in fact the container I would recommend for this task. I’m not sure what the problem might have been but would be happy to try to figure it out if you wanted to contact me directly and describe in further detail.

If you order through me you may select any available color, including red, after you have been redirected to checkout at using the links on my site. Good luck!

  4. I can only assume either your ‘Buy Now’ link is functioning incorrectly or this is another example of some US based websites failure to recognise the internet extends beyond the 50 US states.

The ‘Buy now’ link directs me to an external site (Vitamix International) where I have to pick a country. There is no opportunity to enter a promo code, no ability to buy the product and no information on the price, $649.00 or otherwise. Have I got something wrong or is there some missing information here eg. “For consumers based in the 48 contiguous United States only”?

    • Blenderdude

Mark, it is the latter. Vitamix in particular has made it much more difficult in the past year for consumers outside the U.S. to get their hands on the products marketed here. Canadian customers are redirected to the website and I assume those from other countries are redirected to Vitamix International where they have options to locate individual dealers in their respective countries, but not make online purchases directly from Vitamix. I am not privy to the reasons for this decision nor do not know if or when this policy may change again but I do understand your frustration.

I am familiar with certain high-performance blender manufacturers available overseas yet not here in the U.S. as well. Feel free to contact me directly if you might be interested.

  5. One of my small containers leaks. Do I need your special wrench to tighten it securely enough?

    • Blenderdude

Ethel, if not being tightened properly is the issue, then you can use any wrench that you have which fits. The Vitamix wrench is designed just for this task, but is not mandatory. If tightening turns out not to be the culprit of your leak, I suggest contacting Vitamix – especially if your container is still under warranty.

  6. Hello,

I am really, really leaning towards the 5200 Deluxe — Complete Kitchen model. It seems you get the most for your buck with this collection. I do have a question though. How would I go about getting one of the Create cookbooks that come mainly with the Pro series? I don’t see any of these sold on the Vitamix website.

    • Blenderdude

David, the 5200 Deluxe is the most comprehensive package Vitamix currently offers. There are actually two Vitamix “Create” cookbooks with which I am familiar. One is in three-ring binder form which I have seen on occasion offered on sites like Amazon. The other is a version that, as far as I know, only comes with the CIA packages which include the shorter, wider 64-oz. containers. This is most likely the version you are inquiring about, but I have yet to see this version sold separately from those particular packages.
