  1. An impressive share! I’ve just forwarded this onto
a coworker who had been doing a little homework on this.
And he actually bought me breakfast because I found it
for him… lol. So let me reword this…. Thank YOU for the
meal!! But yeah, thanks for spending the time to
discuss this topic here on your site.

  2. Hi their I would like to know if Blendtec with the vented grip Lid comes with a (pusher spatula) I made that name up but I am talking about the one that is like the Vitamix where we can make butters and push around from the middle hole on top of the Lid without touching the blade. I hope this makes sense and thank you so much for your time

    • bd

Marie-Eve, no, Blendtec does not make a tamper-like tool like you describe. There is at least one third-party manufacturer that makes one compatible with the Blendtec containers and lids. Please email me if you are interested in their product. I am not affiliated with them in any way.

      • I would also like to know the name of the manufacturer for the tamper-like tool for our Blendtec.

  3. Very well writen article, i myself use Vitamix blender for all those stuff, bought mine 5 years ago and i can’t be more happy

  4. I viewed the CNET review of the 725. They suggest against purchase because in their tests the blade seal shredded under normal use. What is your take on this issue? thanks; CONCERNED alluper

  5. Hi could you tell me if a Blendtec jug ( container) will fit the omniblend machine? Thanks!

  6. I bought a Twister jar for my Blendec Total Blender and it does not fit the blender base. Am I missing something?

    • bd

Windy, I can think of no reason why it should not fit. Are you certain of this? It will not wrap around the four outside corners like the WildSide or FourSide containers, but is specifically designed to easily fit the molded Total Blender motor base by overlapping the sides, leaving the corners exposed. You can see this at the 1:12 mark of this video: Twister Jar

  7. Hi there,
I am cautious of using the Blendtec blender for soups because of the plastic container. I know it’s BPA-free but since removing the BPA companies have been replacing it with other harmful chemicals emitted when heated. Can you tell me what the container is made of?

    • Blenderdude

Theressa, Blendtec containers are made of Eastman Tritan copolyester. For what it’s worth, Eastman claims that their containers are free of not just BPA, but all bisphenols.

  8. Can you use the blentec container in a vitamix blender?

  9. I saw a Blendtec Signature Series and I was wondering was it worth buying or should I hold out and get a vita-mix. because the Blendtec Signature Series was on sale for $399.95 and that also include it with the twister jar. so please give me your best opinion on this particular blender I appreciate it very much thank you

    • Blenderdude

Donald, for all intents and purposes the Signature Series is the same blender as the Total Blender model. It comes with extra accessories and containers but the blenders, themselves, work essentially the same. I suggest you watch my comparative videos of Blendtec and Vitamix and see which one you are more drawn to. The $400 price on the Blendtec is attractive but if you have always wanted a Vitamix, there are models that can be had for around that same price point. Both blender manufacturers make quality products but you should definitely buy the one you are more impressed with during your due diligence. Feel free to contact me with any other specific questions.

  10. I just started using my Vitamix and am wondering if you recommend the spatulas they sell on their website, or if there are other, similar spatulas that would be effective for scraping out butters, etc. I really appreciate your site!

    • Blenderdude

Janie, yes, the spatulas that Vitamix sells are very convenient for their containers. However, any long, narrow-head spatula should work well with them, too.

  11. BD, I love my Blendtec and use it almost everyday. I have about 735 cycles run so far. However, the blade in my jar won’t turn anymore. The last time I used it, the motor started to smoke. I’m guessing that resulted from the blade not turning. I also have a WildSide jar which I love, but for milling grains and flours I need the smaller jar. Can I simply replace the blade & seal? I hate to have to spend $79 for a new jar. My blender is only about 2 years old. As an alternative, will Blendtec replace my jar?

    • Blenderdude

Joanna, the blade assemblies on the Blendtec containers are not replaceable. However, whether your jar came with your blender or you purchased it separately, if it is only 2 years old then it is covered under warranty with Blendtec. You should not need to purchase a new one. Give them a call!

  12. Appreciate your videos! Blendtec’s site doesn’t appear to provide a shipping estimate unless you fill out the WHOLE process, including credit card/ Did I miss it somewherre? That’s a big negative compared to Amazon, for instance that comes up when you google Blendtec Twister.

    • Blenderdude

Randy, the Blendtec checkout page is a bit unique. It definitely appears like you have to complete checkout without first getting a shipping quote, but in actuality all you have to do is make sure you have the correct state and zip code entered, then you can go back to the Shipping line, click on the drop-down menu, and it will update your options, with quotes, for you.

  13. You mentioned that it’s possible to purchase a tamper for the Blendtec…do you have them available?

    • Blenderdude

Lisa, they are not as prevalent on the internet as they once were. I do not have them available but will consider making some and adding them to my website. Thanks for the suggestion.
