Asian Orange Ginger Sauce

Here’s a good one from Blendtec’s “Recipe of the Week” collection.  Perfect for salads and/or salmon!

1 orange
1 small Roma tomato, seeded
2 tbsp. canola oil
2 tbsp. toasted sesame seed oil
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp. rice vinegar
1 tbsp. honey
1 clove garlic
1/2″ to 1″ chunk ginger root, peeled

Wash the orange thoroughly and use a paring knife or microplane to zest half the orange.  Be careful to avoid the pith of the orange (white part).  Squeeze the orange for 3 – 4 tbsp. of juice.  Add orange juice, zest, and remaining ingredients to jar.  Blend on high speed for 45 to 50 seconds (“Whole Juice” button on a Blendtec).
